Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a dedicated RN for the NICU at Ascension St John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. The role is full-time, night shift, delivering high-quality neonatal care and coordinating patient journeys.

Minimum qualifications include Oklahoma RN licensure, BLS, and preferred S.T.A.B.L.E. and NRP certifications. Strong collaboration with physicians and care teams is essential for successful transitions home.

Qualifications

  • BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire (AHA or ARC accepted).
  • RN license in Oklahoma before hire date.
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation certification from AAP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, direct patient care in NICU.
  • Lead execution and monitoring of individualized patient care plans.
  • Coordinate communication among physicians, therapists, specialists, and staff.
  • Accurately implement physician orders and nursing directives.
  • Coordinate discharge planning to support transition home.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.

  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy ofPediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
What additional preferences we're seeking
  • Minimum 2 years level IV NICU experience preferred
