Job summary

Ascension in Cedar Park, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for NICU to provide direct patient care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes. The role emphasizes accurate EHR documentation, care coordination, and discharge planning to support safe transitions for newborns and families.

The position requires a nursing diploma, RN licensure, and BLS; Neonatal Resuscitation and STABLE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required prior to hire.
• ACSP Neonatal Resuscitation (AAP) preferred.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification preferred.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
  • Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program credentialed from the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
