MetroHealth Main Campus – Glick is seeking an experienced RN to join the Neuroscience Center, 6 West, providing high-quality neuro ICU patient care. You will perform detailed neurological assessments, manage ICP monitoring, ventilators, drains, and telemetry, and contribute to stroke care with NIHSS certification.

This role requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and a BSN preferred; rotating shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends/holidays.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Mansioni

• Provide detailed neurological assessments and patient monitoring.
• Manage ICP monitoring, ventilation, drains, body temperature, and CRRT as applicable.
• Deliver neurological patient care with NIHSS certification.
• Support telemetry monitoring and critical care duties.
• Demonstrate time management and critical thinking in a high-acuity setting.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Adult


• Ischemic/Hemorrhagic Strokes


• Status Epilepticus


• Encephalitis


• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)


• Intracranial Hemorrhage


• Stroke


• Minor Neurological Disorders

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Detailed Neurological assessments


• ICP Monitoring


• Medication titration


• Managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, body temperature, & CRRT


• Neurological patient care; NIHSS Certification for Stroke care


• Telemetry monitoring


• Time management, critical thinking, delegating


• Seizure disorder monitoring/ care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, PT, OT, Dietary

Number of beds on unit:

• 24 beds

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
