Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for St. Mary Medical Center in Bucks County. The role focuses on direct and indirect patient care using professional nursing skills within the MG3 unit, including isolation and behaviorally monitored patients.

The RN will work a 12-hour night shift (7pm-7:30am) in a 26-bed unit with private rooms, focusing on providing quality care, patient education, and collaborative care with an interprofessional team.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• PA RN License.
• AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and identify barriers to learning; incorporate education into daily care.
• Documents admission assessment / reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use and monitors outcomes.
• Utilizes the information management system to enhance communication and document changes in patient condition.
• Communicates transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at bedside and during interprofessional rounds.
• Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care; aware of abuse recognition and referral.
• Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
• Adheres to infection control standards and maintains a safe, clean environment.

Unit Overview Tele monitored patients - isolation, suicidal, behavioral patients. 5:1-6:1 ratio. Unit has 26 beds, all private rooms.

As a Registered Nurse, you will

• Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and identify actual or potential barriers to learning and thereby incorporating the patient's education into daily activities based on age, cultural and spiritual values.


• Documents admission assessment / reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use and monitors its effects and outcomes according to policy.


• Utilizes the information management system to enhance communication and documents change in-patients condition to all appropriate individuals. Prioritizes work assignment based on changing situations.


• Communicates transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds


• Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care and knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral


• Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.


• Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care and by promotes and maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment.


• Performs other duties as assigned.
