Job summary

StarCare Specialty Health System is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team supporting people with mental illness. The RN provides rehabilitative and nursing services, overseeing medication management, injections, labs, and health assessments, under the ACT Director’s supervision.

The role emphasizes education, coordination with providers, and training for Behavioral Health case managers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Current, unrestricted RN licensure in Texas.
• Must have Texas driver’s license and be insurable.
• Must pass pre-employment and annual screenings (background, nursing registry, MVR, drug screening).

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with staff, customers, and the public.
• Complete and submit required documentation accurately within timeframes.
• Provide nursing services per guidelines and contractual requirements.
• Deliver education and training on medications and health topics.
• Meet contractual targets for medication management tasks.
• Communicate promptly with supervisors and stakeholders.
• Attend required meetings and trainings; participate in staffing sessions.
• Complete duties within designated timeframes; support center operations.
