Job summary

TeamBuilders Behavioral Health, LLC in Taos, NM seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, delivering community-based psychiatric nursing to adults with serious mental illness.

Provide care during home visits and in office settings, administer medications (including injections), and perform health assessments to improve stability and quality of life in the community. This role requires strong teamwork and independent initiative.

Qualifications

• RN license in New Mexico (active) and CPR/First Aid certification.
• 1–2 years direct client care in psychiatric settings; experience with seriously mentally ill adults preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care in community settings (home visits, field work, office).
• Administer medications, including long-acting injectables, and monitor effectiveness.
• Conduct health assessments and ongoing wellness checks; document promptly.
• Collaborate with psychiatry, therapy, and case management.
• Assist with crisis intervention and client stabilization.
• Educate clients and families on medications and health management.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
