Mercy is seeking an RN for an 18-bed Medical-Surgical unit in a fast-paced setting, focusing on pulmonary, cardiac, telemetry, and complex medical conditions. You will use the nursing process to deliver patient care and maintain confidentiality, while coordinating with other departments to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualified candidates have an accredited nursing degree and an active RN license, with BLS/ACLS certifications or the ability to obtain them within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

• Patient Population: Our 18-bed Medical-Surgical unit cares for a diverse adult patient population, offering nurses the opportunity to build a strong and well-rounded clinical skill set. Nurses care for patients with pulmonary, cardiac, telemetry, and complex medical conditions, including COPD, pneumonia, heart failure, sepsis, renal disease, diabetes complications, and other acute illnesses. This unit provides valuable experience in telemetry monitoring, respiratory care, complex medication management, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, making it an excellent environment for both professional growth and development.
