Stroke Certification

DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital, Michigan’s first Level I Trauma Center, pioneered emergency medicine and has one of the busiest emergency departments. It houses the state’s first verified burn center, offers a 24/7 hyperbaric oxygen program, Michigan’s first certified primary stroke center, and the DMC Rosa Parks Geriatric Center of Excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and healthcare providers.
• Delegate, assess, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge.
• Report to senior management and participate in shared decision-making.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
