Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) at DMC is part of the Patient Care Services Team, responsible for nursing care completion by the nursing team. The RN manages patient care activities, applying independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with team members, including ancillary and support services. The role involves leadership, partnership, teaching, and supervision.

• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and healthcare providers.
• Delegate, assess, provide, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate patient care activities to team members.
• Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge.
• Report to senior unit management and participate in shared decision-making.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as an RN in Michigan required.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
