About DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital: Michigan’s first Level I Trauma Center, pioneering emergency medicine, with one of the busiest emergency departments. It houses the state’s first verified burn center, a 24/7 hyperbaric oxygen program, Metro Detroit’s first certified primary stroke center, and the DMC Rosa Parks Geriatric Center of Excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Be a member of the Patient Care Services Team, responsible for nursing care completion.
• Manage and provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families.
• Apply independent judgment, communicate, and collaborate with team members including ancillary and support services.
• Demonstrate leadership, partnership, collaboration, teaching, and supervision.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and healthcare providers.
• Delegate, assess, provide, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge.
• Report to senior unit management and participate in shared decision-making.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as an RN in Michigan required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
