Job summary

BayCare's Winter Haven Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Medical/Surgical team. The RN will work in a hospital setting, applying the nursing process and clinical standards, and will delegate care to other team members as needed.

Responsibilities include coordinating with an inter-disciplinary team, updating care plans with patients and families, and proactively identifying safety risks to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a Med/Surg Tele unit.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS certification required.
• 6 months RN acute care experience required.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required.

• Organizes and prioritizes plan of care in collaboration with patient and family in a medical/surgical unit.

Position Description: RN

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a medical/surgical unit
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
