BayCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Medical/Surgical team at Winter Haven Hospital in Florida. The RN will independently care for patients using the nursing process and clinical standards while coordinating with the health care team to ensure safe, effective care.

The role requires certification and varies shifts with weekend work; BayCare emphasizes patient-centered care and a strong mission to improve community health.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license (RN) in Florida.
• BLS certification.
• At least 6 months RN acute care experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary care providers to develop and adjust the plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes the plan of care with patient, family and team in a medical/surgical unit.
• Identifies patients at risk and prepares the room environment to support safe care.

Position Description: RN

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a medical/surgical unit
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
