Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Cardiac unit to provide patient-centered care on a night shift. The RN will work independently within the nursing process, delegate tasks, and maintain professional accountability for patient outcomes.

Unit colleagues collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update the plan of care, ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS certification required.
• 6 months RN acute care experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary care providers to develop and assist in the plan of care.
• Organizes and updates the plan of care in collaboration with patient and family in a medical/surgical unit.
• Identify patients at risk for injury and prepare room environment.

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care

• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a medical/surgical unit

• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
