Unit Overview:
Serving the Wilmington community and Northern New Castle County, the Med/Surg floor at Saint Francis Hospital is a 38-bed unit. We care for a wide variety of patients including post-surgical patients, patient with chronic illnesses like Diabetes, and kidney failure, as well as those experiencing acute health issues. We focus on a holistic approach, addressing physical, emotional, and educational needs. This includes but not limited to pain management, wound care, and education on recovery and rehabilitation. We work with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans for our patients. Our management team values and promotes work life balance, professional growth, and comradery.
