Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for the Med/Surg floor on a 12-hour night shift. The role emphasizes holistic patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and education for recovery and discharge.

Minimum qualifications include ASN with BSN preferred, DE RN licensure, BLS; ACLS within 3 months. Night shifts and every third weekend with rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• ASN Required; BSN preferred from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN Licensure in State of Delaware.
• BLS Certification required; must obtain ACLS within 3 months of hire.
• Previous med-surg experience highly preferred (1–2 years).

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Completes a Nursing Assessment form on each patient within 24 hours.
• Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with documentation.
• Implements Nursing actions to each patient as identified.
• Makes decisions reflecting knowledge and sound judgment.
• Discusses with patient and family about planned care and documents outcomes.
• Utilizes multidisciplinary approach to deliver patient care.
• Instructs and documents follow-up care for transfer/discharge.
• Evaluates patient/family understanding of instructions.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description: Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join the team on our Med/Surg Floor!

Schedule/Shift: Full-time, night shift (7:00 pm - 7:30 am) / Every third weekend and rotating holidays

Unit Overview:

Serving the Wilmington community and Northern New Castle County, the Med/Surg floor at Saint Francis Hospital is a 38-bed unit. We care for a wide variety of patients including post-surgical patients, patient with chronic illnesses like Diabetes, and kidney failure, as well as those experiencing acute health issues. We focus on a holistic approach, addressing physical, emotional, and educational needs. This includes but not limited to pain management, wound care, and education on recovery and rehabilitation. We work with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans for our patients. Our management team values and promotes work life balance, professional growth, and comradery. Minimum Qualifications:

• ASN Required, BSN Preferred, from an accredited school of nursing

• BLS Certification required; must obtain ACLS within 3 months of hire
• Previous med-surg experience highly preferred (at least 1-2 years preferred)
