Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Three Rivers in Waverly, TN is seeking a Licensed Registered Nurse to join Med Surg on a part-time night schedule. You’ll implement and monitor patient care plans with a focus on safety, accuracy, and high-quality outcomes, coordinating care across disciplines.

The role requires a TN RN license (or multi-state Compact State), BLS within 30 days, and a Diploma or professional licensure at hire.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in TN or compact state.
• BLS within 30 days of hire date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor comprehensive patient care plans with a focus on safety, accuracy, and superior outcomes.
• Serve as the primary lead across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated, seamless care.
• Assess and communicate changes in patient conditions to the broader medical team in real time.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders while maintaining clinical protocol standards.
• Coordinate discharge needs with the healthcare team to prepare patients for a safe transition home.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
