Qualifications

• NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.

• Current BLS required.
• 2-5 years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Demonstrate independence and flexibility in decision making and prioritizing.
• Prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care provided to patients.
• Provide patient education and coordinate activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining nursing standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide age- and diagnosis-appropriate care.

Job Description

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and diagnosis of the patient.

Qualifications/Education

• NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse required
• Graduate of approved school of nursing required; BSN preferred or desire to complete
• Current BLS required
• 2-5 years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Position Pay Range: $38.00-50.00/hour
• Starting Pay: Based on experience
