Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Unit, delivering patient-centered care on a newly opened 12-bed unit focused on inpatient medical, surgical and cardiac telemetry patients.

The role involves 0.70 FTE night shifts with a mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts and every third weekend rotation, supporting our level I trauma center and award-winning nursing programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing with 1 year RN experience.
• RN must be licensed in Minnesota and CPR/BLS certified.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care on a Med/Surg unit.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient plans.
• Engage in patient/family education and participate in shared governance.

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.

This unit is a newly opened 12 private bed med-surg unit focused on inpatient medical surgical and cardiac telemetry patients. Therefore, our unit provides a widespread knowledge and experience base for our nurses.

Work Schedule:0.70 Nights. Mix of 8 and 12 hour shifts; every 3rd weekend rotation.

Required Qualifications:

• -Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• -Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
• -Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• -CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• -Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• -BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
• -One year of acute careRN experience isstrongly preferred
• -ICU RN experience is strongly preferred
