Regions Hospital in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Observation & Med/Surg Unit, a 22-bed unit focused on short-stay medical-surgical observation and post-procedural care.

You will provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a setting that emphasizes Shared Governance and resident‑friendly orientation. A MN RN license and CPR/BLS are required, with BSN/ MSN preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Observation & Med/Surg Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.

W2 is a 22-bed capacity med-surg/telemetry unit focused on short stay medical-surgical observation as well as extended recovery patients. This includes general surgery, acute care surgery, neurosurgery, urology, cardiac telemetry and post procedural care. Nurses who wish to work on this unit must develop clinical and compassionate practices in the care of patients with complex medical and mental health conditions.

As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. Work Schedule

0.70 Nights. 8 hour shifts during the week and 12 hour shifts every 3rd weekend.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
• One year of acute care RN experience is preferred
