Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas River Park in McMinnville, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg on a full-time night shift. You will implement and monitor patient care plans focusing on safety and outcomes, lead across disciplines, assess and communicate changes in patient conditions, and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Qualifications include Tennessee RN licensure, BLS within 30 days, and a nursing diploma.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date.
• RN licensure from Tennessee Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor comprehensive patient care plans with a focus on safety and outcomes.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor comprehensive patient care plans with a focus on safety, accuracy, and superior outcomes.

• Serve as the primary lead across all disciplines to ensure every patient receives well-coordinated, seamless care.

• Expertly assess, record, and communicate changes in patient conditions to the broader medical team in real-time.

• Precisely carry out physician and nursing orders while maintaining the highest standards of clinical protocol.

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess and coordinate discharge needs, ensuring patients are prepared for a successful transition home.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
