Maplewood at Mayflower Place Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Yarmouth, MA is hiring per diem Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse to support resident care under the Director of Nursing. The role emphasizes supervision of CNAs, medication administration, and coordination with families and physicians.

The starting rates are $40/hour for LPN and $43/hour for RN, with shift differentials from $1 to $6 per hour.

Qualifications

• RN/LPN currently licensed to practice in MA.
• Two years full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience.
• Experience with older adults.
• Physically able to push, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, peers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervising CNAs to ensure quality care.
• Administer medications and perform skilled nursing assessments.
• Handle devices such as catheters and PICC lines and wound care.
• Maintain skilled care documentation.
• Communicate proactively with residents, families, staff, physicians and outside providers.

Position Summary: The Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse - is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing with the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services at the Community.

Primary Responsibilities:

• SupervisingC.N.A's to ensure quality care is provided at all times
• Administration of medication, skilled nursing assessments, provide treatments
• Processes competency in foley catheters, picc lines, feeding tubes, wound care
• Skilled care documentation,
• Communicating proactively with residents, families, staff, physicians and outside providers

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

• RN/LPN currently licensed to practice in the State of Massachusetts
• Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience
• Experience and/or special interest working with older adults
• Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members
• In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases
