Maplewood Senior Living is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for per diem coverage at Maplewood at Mayflower Place Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Massachusetts. The role supports the Director of Nursing in delivering comprehensive resident care, including medication administration and care coordination.

Qualified candidates hold MA RN/LPN licensure, have at least two years of clinical experience, and enjoy working with older adults.

Qualifications

• RN/LPN licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
• Two years of full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience.
• Experience and/or interest in working with older adults.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks (pushing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, families and staff.
• In good health with no communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CNAs to ensure quality care.
• Administer medications, perform nursing assessments and treatments.
• Competency in Foley catheters, PICC lines, feeding tubes and wound care.
• Skilled care documentation.
• Communicate proactively with residents, families, staff, physicians and external providers.

The starting rate for LPN is $40 and for RN is $43 with shift differentials ranging from $1 to $6 per hour more.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse - is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing with the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services at the Community.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervising C.N.A's to ensure quality care is provided at all times
• Administration of medication, skilled nursing assessments, provide treatments
• Processes competency in foley catheters, picc lines, feeding tubes, wound care
• Skilled care documentation
• Communicating proactively with residents, families, staff, physicians and outside providers

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

• RN/LPN currently licensed to practice in the State of Massachusetts
• Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience
• Experience and/or special interest working with older adults
• Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members
• In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases
