Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for per diem shifts in Massachusetts. The RN/LPN employee will assist the Director of Nursing with the delivery and coordination of Resident Care Services at the community.

Responsibilities include supervising CNAs, medication administration, and performing skilled nursing tasks. Candidates should have MA licensure and 2 years of relevant clinical experience, with physical ability to perform demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• RN/LPN licensed to practice in MA.
• Two years full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
• Experience with older adults.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks up to 50 lbs.
• Positive working relationships with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Supervising CNAs to ensure quality care.
• Administer medications, conduct skilled nursing assessments, provide treatments.
• Handle catheter, PICC line, feeding tube, wound care as needed.
• Maintain accurate skilled care documentation.
• Communicate proactively with residents, families, staff and physicians.

The starting rate for LPN is $40 and for RN is $43 with shift differentials ranging from $1 to $6 per hour more.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse - is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing with the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services at the Community.

Primary Responsibilities

• SupervisingC.N.A's to ensure quality care is provided at all times
• Administration of medication, skilled nursing assessments, provide treatments
• Processes competency in foley catheters, picc lines, feeding tubes, wound care
• Skilled care documentation,
• Communicating proactively with residents, families, staff,
• physicians and outside providers

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification

• RN/LPN currently licensed to practice in the State of Massachusetts
• Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience
• Experience and/or special interest working with older adults
• Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members
• In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases
