Job summary

Oaklawn is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients, utilizing critical thinking and the full nursing process from assessment to evaluation.

You will supervise the nursing patient care team and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure optimal outcomes, documenting patient progress and educating patients and families. Compliance with infection control and Oaklawn guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Michigan is required.
• BLS certification is required at hire.
• ACLS certification is required within three months of hire.
• Training in Hard cuff and Soft Limb Restraints within two months of hire and annual recertification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patient comfort and well-being using critical thinking and nursing process.
• Supervise nursing care team including CNAs and LPNs as applicable.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver care and document progress.
• Document patient care, condition, reactions and treatment responses promptly.
• Utilize technology and EMR while following infection prevention standards.
• Educate patients and families and document education provided.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and staff meetings.
• Adhere to Oaklawn mission, values, and ethics in practice.
