Job summary

Oaklawn is seeking a dedicated RN to provide comprehensive nursing care within the Birth Center. The role requires critical thinking, independent judgment, and proficiency in all phases of the nursing process, from assessment to evaluation.

The RN will supervise nursing staff, collaborate with the care team, and ensure timely documentation of patient progress while adhering to infection control standards. ACLS preferred; BLS required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a nursing program.
• Current Michigan RN licensure.
• ACLS certification preferred or required within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care with independent judgment across all phases of the nursing process.
• Supervise nursing staff including CNAs and LPNs as applicable.
• Collaborate with the Birth Center team and other disciplines to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Document care, patient condition, and responses to treatment promptly.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and safe care practices.
• Engage in continuous professional development and participate in unit-based improvement activities.
