Job summary

Ascension is seeking a registered nurse for Labor & Delivery at Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX. This role offers day and night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, with a gross weekly rate up to $2,713.

The RN will provide direct nursing care following policies, develop care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and support safe discharge planning. Eligible candidates hold an RN license, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation certification, and a Diploma in Nursing; S.T.A.B.L.E.

Qualifications

• Diploma in nursing and RN license required.
• BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation certifications required or credentialed within specified timelines.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care following established policies and protocols.
• Implement, monitor, and record patient care plans and conditions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and manage patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Education

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing

Registered Nurse license (compact or state)

BLS Provider certification

Neonatal Resuscitation credential (AAP)

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Must have compact RN license or state RN license relevant to travel assignment location prior to start of assignment.
• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience:

• One year of RN experience in an acute care setting required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• 2 or more years of experience in Labor and Delivery strongly preferred
