Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery in Virginia. The role includes nursing care using the nursing process, patient assessment, plan and implement care, and coordinating care with the health team. You will perform admissions, rounding checks, administer medications, and communicate with families.

Proficiency in Labor & Delivery practices and OR circulation is essential. A valid Virginia RN license with ACLS/BLS/NRP is required; 2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery

Qualifications

• RN Degree (ADN, BSN or MSN) required.
• Virginia RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications required.
• Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Circulating in the OR proficiency required.

Job description

• Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process


• Assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, coordinate care, teach, promote health, and evaluate patient care


• Maintain professional nursing standards including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health


• Assess and admit patients


• Perform rounding checks


• Administer medications


• Communicate with family members


• Provide overall care for patients


• Collaborate with the care team to ensure quality patient care

Requirements

• RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN


• Valid RN License to practice in Virginia


• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP


• Intermittent or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course preferred


• MUST have AT LEAST 2 yrs of RECENT Labor & Delivery Experience


• MUST be proficient at Circulating in the OR
