Job summary

Ascension is seeking a PRN registered nurse to join the Labor and Delivery team at Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN. This shift supports night coverage to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced obstetric setting.

You will implement and monitor care plans, coordinate across disciplines, document orders, and assist with discharge planning to ensure high-quality outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire date or transfer date (AHA/Red Cross accepted).
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date or transfer date (AHA/Red Cross accepted).
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 6 months of hire date or transfer date (AAP).
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from Tennessee Board of Nursing or multi-state license (Compact State).

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
