Methodist Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Family Birth Center team. The RN will manage patient care in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure safe, quality outcomes.

Flexible overnight opportunities with 12-hour shifts or 8-hour shifts and varying FTE. Requires MN RN license, BLS, and 1+ year L&D experience; BSN preferred and expected within 2 years of hire.

Qualifications

• Completed an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in nursing; BSN preferred and expected within 2 years of hire.
• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License.
• BLS provider status per AHA guidelines.
• Knowledge of age-related growth and development for safe patient care.
• 1+ year of L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• The RN manages the episode of patient care in partnership with patients, families, and other providers to deliver safe, quality health care.
• Coordinate and supervise care delegated to Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed personnel when needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in the Family Birth Center.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.

Work Schedule

Flexible overnight opportunities available! Choose from 12-hour shifts with every 3rd weekend or 8-hour shifts with every other weekend. Varying FTE available: 0.6-1.0 FTE.

Required Qualifications

Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing. BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.

• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
• Candidate must have 1+ years L&D experience
