Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse Interventional Radiology PRN to join HCA HealthONE Aurora. The role involves patient advocacy, preparation, and ongoing monitoring during diagnostic and therapeutic radiology procedures. You will work as part of a dedicated team to enhance patient experience and care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures by checking vital signs, medications, NPO status, lab results, and medical history.
- Insert and remove intravenous lines, administer conscious sedation and other medications.
- Monitor patient vital signs and patterns during procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures.
- Perform post‑procedure monitoring for complications such as bleeding, pain, or changes in mental status or vital signs.
- Meet a 30‑minute callback window for patient calls.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Colorado Registered Nurse license with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
- 2‑3 years of experience in a specialty unit (Critical Care, ED, PACU, or Radiology) or interventional radiology experience required.
- Capability to function independently, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of start date.
- Registered Nurse diploma or bachelor's degree.
