Job summary

McLaren Health Care's Intensive Care Unit seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver quality care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain professional standards and support patient/family centered care.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing nursing care, intervening as needed, and evaluating responses. Weekend and Holiday B rotation are required.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient / family centered care.

2. Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
3. Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
4. Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.

Required:

• Associates Degree from a Certified Nursing program
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license
• Minimum one-year of RN experience in a hospital setting
• BLS card from AHA required before start date (valid at least 60 days beyond start date)
• ACLS certification (required by end of unit orientation)

Preferred:

• TCAR certified
• Step Down or Critical Care experience

Weekend/Holiday Requirements:

Selected candidate will be required to work weekends 2 & 4 of the 28-day schedule, as well as the Holiday B rotation.
