McLaren Health Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit in Mount Clemens, MI. The role delivers high-quality nursing care using the nursing process and collaborates with the healthcare team to uphold professional standards.

You will coordinate and delegate activities to support patient/family-centered care, with a schedule of 72 hours per pay period and shifts from 7:00A to 7:30P, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nursing Program.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC/Canadian equivalent, valid at least 60 days beyond start date.
• ACLS required by end of unit orientation for ICU-related units.
• NRP certification required by end of unit orientation for FBC.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.

• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date
• ACLS required by end of unit orientation for CCL, PACU, ENDO, IR, ICU, ED, CDU, CSS, CSU, Ambulatory Surgery, and the Step-Down Unit
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required by end of unit orientation for FBC

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Wound Care Certification (WCC/WOCN/CWCA) if working in Wound Care Center preferred, Wound care Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire date
• One year related specialty care experience preferred for: Cardiac Cath Lab, OR/PASS (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), IR (Interventional Radiology), ICU, Endo, or Ambulatory Surgery
