Job summary

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse II (RN) for our Transcare unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. The RN will educate patients and families, serve as a role model for Level I nurses, and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and support best practices.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties as needed.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
