Job summary

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Registered Nurse in the Admissions Unit at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

Shifts available: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM. Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree in nursing and current Georgia RN license. National/state background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing and Georgia RN license or multistate license.
• Current Georgia license as Registered Nurse required.
• Current CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess client health problems and needs and address immediate concerns.
• Complete vital signs and document findings.
• Review and determine immediate medications and treatments required.
• Notify doctor/Psychiatrist for evaluation and orders.
• Administer prescribed medications as needed.
• Provide nursing care to patients as required.
• Advise on health maintenance and refer to Social Services when appropriate.
