The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Registered Nurse 3 in the Admissions Unit, at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

This role requires assessing client health problems, administering medications, and coordinating care with physicians and social services. Evening shift runs 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM; Georgia RN license and CPR are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse is required.
• Three years of professional nursing experience or one year at RN 2.

Responsabilités

• Assess client health problems and needs, address current and immediate.
• Complete vital signs and document.
• Review and determine immediate needs (current medications and treatments).
• Evaluate and notify doctor/Psychiatrist for evaluation and order implementation.
• Administer medications as needed.
• Provide nursing care to patients as needed or required.
• Advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention; refer to Social Service within Admission area.

Connaissances

Three years nursing experience

CPR certification

Mental health experience

Medication administration
