Job summary

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, FL is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocates for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

The role requires an active Florida RN license, 1+ year of acute care experience, and certifications such as BCLS, ACLS, and PALS within defined timelines.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license is required.
• Registered Nurse Diploma or higher preferred.
• 1+ years RN experience in acute care preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• BCLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of start.
• ACLS Provider certification within 6 months.
• PALS Provider certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Job Summary And Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start
• American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date
• PALS-American Heart Association PALS Provider issued card required within 6 months
