Qualifications

  • Active Florida RN license or multi-state license with Florida endorsement within 60 days of relocation.
  • 1+ year of RN experience in acute care preferred.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma, Associate Degree, or BSN preferred.
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
  • ACLS Provider card required within 6 months of start date.
  • PALS Provider card required within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in the Progressive Care Unit.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical staff.
  • Advocate for patients to support a positive patient experience.
  • Assess patient condition at admission and each shift, report changes promptly.
  • Document care in the medical record and administer prescribed medications.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role
  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
  • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
What qualifications you will need
  • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
  • 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred
  • Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start
  • American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date
  • PALS-American Heart Association PALS Provider issued card required within 6 months
