Job Overview

This position is part-time with a flexible day shift schedule. The individual will provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The role includes professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, with a focus on Patient Centered Care and Service Excellence standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, and diversity needs of patients and families.
• Develop and implement care plans using nursing knowledge and skills, addressing diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans, goals, treatment, and discharge planning tailored to patient and family needs.
• Conduct hourly rounds to enhance communication, safety, and anticipate patient needs (e.g., pain management, repositioning, toileting). Proactively evaluate the environment for safety and patient-friendliness.

Qualifications

• Current NV nursing license
• Current ACLS & BLS certificates
• Prefer 1 year full-time or 3 years part-time experience in an acute care setting
• Handle with Care certification or obtain within six months of employment
