Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses for a 13-week System Pool full-time assignment covering Regions 1 and 3, including Clearwater hospitals. The role features a 7pm–7am schedule with block scheduling not available and alternating weekends, supporting a hospital-wide float pool.

Required RN license, BLS & ACLS, ASN, and ICU experience (18–24 months). Cerner EMR experience preferred; independent transportation is essential for travel assignments.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) are required.
• Associate degree in nursing (ASN) or higher.
• 18 months RN experience in an acute ICU setting is required.
• 2 years RN experience in an acute ICU setting is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
• Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts.
• Flexibility is required.
• Travel Nurse experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The RN cares for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in the plan of care.
• Organizes and updates the plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others.
• Identifies patients at risk for injury and prepares the room environment.
• Acts as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

BayCare Health Systems staffing resource office is currently seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join our outstanding and compassionate float team.

System Pool- 13-week full time assignment for assigned department - unit provided schedule - block scheduling not available. Availability of assignments is based on needs of health system. Current assignments are available in regions 1 & 3. Region 1 includes St Anthony's, Morton Plant, Mease Dunedin, Mease Countryside and Morton Plant Northbay hospitals. Region 3 includes South Florida Baptist, Bartow Medical Center and Winter Haven Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in the departments
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
• The Registered Nurse performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
