Job summary

BayCare Health System in Clearwater is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our float pool for a 13-week full-time assignment. The RN provides direct patient care in a hospital setting, following the nursing process and collaborates with the care team.

The role requires an ASN, active RN license, BLS and ACLS, plus 18–24 months ICU experience; Cerner EMR experience preferred. Flexible travel/shifts and independent transportation are expected.

Qualifications

• 18 months RN experience in an acute ICU setting is required.
• 2 years RN experience in an acute ICU setting is strongly preferred.
• ASN required.
• Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) are required.
• Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred.
• Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts.
• Flexibility and travel nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cares for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in the plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes plan of care in collaboration with patient, family and significant others.
• Serves as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

BayCare Health Systems staffing resource office is currently seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join our outstanding and compassionate float team.

• System Pool- 13-week full time assignment for assigned department - unit provided schedule - block scheduling not available. Availability of assignments is based on needs of health system.

Region 1 includes St Anthony's, Morton Plant, Mease Dunedin, Mease Countryside and Morton Plant Northbay hospitals.

Region 2 includes St Joseph's, St Joseph's North, St Joseph's South and Wesley Chapel hospitals

Region 3 includes South Florida Baptist, Bartow Medical Center and Winter Haven Hospitals.

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in the departments
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
• The Registered Nurse performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS(AHA) are required.
• Associate degree in nursing (ASN)
• 18 months RN experience in an acute ICU setting is required.
• 2 years RN experience in an acute ICU setting is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred.
• Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts.
