Job summary

BayCare Health System in Clearwater is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week, full-time assignment on the float pool, with nights shifts 645pm-715am and rotating weekends.

The nurse will care for ICU patients, document plans of care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team using the Cerner EMR. Requirements include active RN license, ASN, BLS/ACLS, 18 months ICU experience (2 years preferred), and travel nurse readiness.

Responsibilities

• Care for a group of ICU patients using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Collaborate with inter-disciplinary care providers to develop and assist in plan of care
• Organize and update plans of care with patient and family
• Identify patients at risk and prepare room environment
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

BayCare Health Systems staffing resource office is currently seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join our outstanding and compassionate float team.

• System Pool- 13-week full time assignment for assigned department - unit provided schedule - block scheduling not available. Availability of assignments is based on needs of health system.

Current assignments are available in regions 1 & 3.

Region 1 includes St Anthony's, Morton Plant, Mease Dunedin, Mease Countryside and Morton Plant Northbay hospitals.

Region 3 includes South Florida Baptist, Bartow Medical Center and Winter Haven Hospitals.

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in the departments
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
• The Registered Nurse performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS(AHA) are required.
• Associate degree in nursing (ASN)
• 18 months RN experience in an acute ICU setting is required.
• 2 years RN experience in an acute ICU setting is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred.
• Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts.
• Flexibility
• Travel Nurse experience preferred.
