Job summary

BayCare seeks an ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week System Pool assignment. The role supports a floating, hospital-based team across Regions 1 & Region 3 with block scheduling. The RN will collaborate with care teams, update care plans, and ensure patient safety in a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities include precepting and charging when needed, prioritizing patient care, and using Cerner EMR. Travel RN experience and independent transportation are preferred for varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) are required.
• ASN degree required.
• 18 months RN ICU experience required.
• 2 years RN ICU experience strongly preferred.
• Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred.
• Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts.
• Travel Nurse experience preferred.

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary care providers to develop and assist in the plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes/upgrades plan of care with patient, family and others.
• Identifies patients at risk for injury and prepares room environment.
• RN serves as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to the health care team.

BayCare Health Systems staffing resource office is currently seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join our outstanding and compassionate float team.

• System Pool- 13-week full time assignment for assigned department - unit provided schedule - block scheduling not available. Availability of assignments is based on needs of health system. Current assignments are available in regions 1 & 3. Region 1 includes St Anthony's, Morton Plant, Mease Dunedin, Mease Countryside and Morton Plant Northbay hospitals. Region 3 includes South Florida Baptist, Bartow Medical Center and Winter Haven Hospitals.
• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in the departments
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
• The Registered Nurse performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS(AHA) are required.
• Associate degree in nursing (ASN)
• 18 months RN experience in an acute ICU setting is required.
• 2 years RN experience in an acute ICU setting is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred.
• Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts.
• Travel Nurse experience preferred.
