Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU team, offering a $20,000 commitment bonus and a 3x12 night shift schedule with rotating weekends. You will provide critical care across ICU/stepdown/telemetry, performing assessments, interventions, and collaborative care planning.

Qualifications

• Active NC (or compact state) RN license.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient assessments and identify nursing needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Document medical necessity and care plans in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.

Our 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) offers a unique blended critical care experience, providing care across ICU, stepdown, and telemetry levels of care. Nurses work closely with the intensivist and gain valuable experience in patient assessment, stabilization, and clinical decision-making while caring for a diverse patient population. How You'll Contribute

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs

• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current North Carolina state or compact state RN license. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Associate's degree in nursing is required (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
• 1-2 years of recent RN experience in the ICU is required.
