Job summary

Spring View Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a registered nurse to join our team in Lebanon, KY. This full-time day shift role includes 7a–7p schedules and every-other-weekend commitments, with a focus on comprehensive patient care and safe nurse-to-patient ratios.

You will administer medications, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with care teams to ensure smooth transfers, discharges, and family education.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within 12 months of hire.
• One year of nursing experience required.
• Handle with Care training to be completed within 30 days of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Floats to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse‑to‑patient ratios.
• Able to manage ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, vapotherms.
• Able to titrate and maintain critical drips on the ICU patient, including knowledge of indications, contraindications, and side effects.
• Must pass a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire/transfer.

Qualifications and Certifications

• RN license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within 12 months of hire.
• One year of experience required.
• Handle with Care to be received within 30 days of orientation and kept annually.
