Job summary

Lifepoint Health through Spring View Hospital in Lebanon, KY seeks an experienced RN for the Emergency Department. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients on an 11-bed unit.

As part of Lifepoint Health, the RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support patient education and advocacy to ensure excellent outcomes for patients and families.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 12 months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications, collect specimens, perform treatments.
• Document patient care and monitor patient conditions.
• Coordinate care with the care team and communicate with patients and families.
• Assist with activities of daily living and support transfers and discharges.
• Collaborate across disciplines for transfer, discharge, referrals and psychosocial needs.
• Educate patients and families; address learning needs and safety concerns.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Position Summary

Schedule: Fulltime, Mid Shift. Location: Lebanon, KY. Spring View Hospital is part of Lifepoint Health. As a registered nurse (RN) in the emergency department, you will provide specialized care to critically ill patients on an 11-bed unit.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professional development and clinical competency; utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 12 months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
