Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD seeks a Registered Nurse 1 for Unit 42 (Medicine/Telemetry/Oncology) on the dayshift (7am-7:30pm). Under supervision, you will provide direct patient care, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer meds, and coordinate discharge planning with the care team.

The role requires an Associate degree in Nursing and current Maryland RN licensure with CPR certification. No prior experience is required; excellent communication and documentation skills are

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN registration with Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses.
• Healthcare Provider CPR credential (biennial).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision.
• Assess patient status using nursing process and update care plan.
• Administer medications and IV therapy; monitor and respond to changes.
• Coordinate patient care with health team and plan for discharge.
• Educate patients and families and document care in medical records.
