Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate Degree in Nursing, be licensed by the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses, maintain CPR certification, have at least one year of RN experience, and demonstrate excellence in communication, planning and patient education.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Maryland RN license current.
• CPR certification required; specialty certifications may be needed on hire.
• 1 year of RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Develop and update a written nursing care plan.
• Administer medications and IV therapy; monitor patient status.
• Coordinate patient care with health team and family.
• Educate patients and families; ensure documentation is complete.
