Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Unit 38 Registered Nurse for the Medicine/Telemetry unit in Towson. The 2 dayshift ensures direct, evidence-based patient care from admission through discharge. The role emphasizes nursing process use, care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize outcomes.

The RN must hold an Associate Degree in Nursing, be licensed in Maryland, and maintain CPR certification. One year of RN experience and strong communication/organizational skills are required for

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Current Maryland RN registration required.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider CPR biennial; specialty certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and determine priorities.
• Develop and update the written plan of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments as ordered.
• Coordinate patient care with family and health team members.
• Document status and plan of care in medical records.
• Educate patients and families and provide discharge planning.
• Assign and supervise care by licensed/unlicensed staff.
