Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse for direct patient care under general supervision. This role requires an Associate degree in Nursing and Maryland RN licensure, with CPR certification. No prior experience is required.

The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and coordinate care, document patient status, and participate in teaching and quality improvements within the unit.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse.
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification (biennial).

Responsibilities

• Compiles database and formulates nursing diagnosis.
• Initiates and updates a written nursing plan of care.
• Performs clinical nursing skills independently and administers medications, IV therapy and treatments.
• Communicates the patient status and plan of care through written documentation and verbally to health care professionals.
• Manages daily patient assignment and coordinates patient activities with other disciplines.
