Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in Baltimore. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while coordinating with the health care team and educating patients and families.

The role requires an Associate degree in nursing, Maryland RN registration, and CPR certification. Prior clinical experience is not required, and adherence to GBMC values is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Must be registered with Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as an RN.
• Healthcare Provider CPR course biennial.

Responsibilities

• Uses Nursing Process: assessment, planning, implementation, coordination of patient care, teaching and discharge planning.
• Assessments, diagnoses, care planning, prioritization of patient needs.
• Administers medications, IV therapy and treatments; responds to emergencies.
• Coordinate daily patient assignments and supervise care by staff.
• Document patient status and plan of care; communicate with physicians and team.
