Incentives:

  • $10,000 recruitment incentive for: Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Nurses, Nurse Consultants, Nursing Supervisors, Compliance Nurses

You must be a new employee to the State of DE to be eligible for this program.

Program Details

Incentives are paid quarterly over the first year, starting after the first quarter. New employees accepting the bonus commit to two years of employment. Referral bonuses are paid quarterly over the first year of the referred employee's employment.

This program is administered by DHSS and may be terminated at any time.

Job Summary

A Registered Nurse is responsible for nursing care on their shift, including assessment, care planning, evaluation, documentation, medication administration, wound care, and respiratory treatments. The RN supervises staff, responds to emergencies, and conducts therapeutic groups, working closely with clients’ families, community providers, and support departments.

Essential Functions
  • Provide or evaluate nursing care
  • Develop and review care plans
  • Provide health education to individuals and groups
  • Maintain effective team relationships
  • Prepare reports and participate in quality assurance
Job Requirements
For Registered Nurse I
  • Delaware RN license or multi-state compact license
For Registered Nurse II
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing OR at least one year psychiatric nursing experience
  • Delaware RN license or multi-state compact license
For Registered Nurse III
  • At least two years psychiatric nursing experience OR a degree in Nursing plus one year psychiatric experience OR a Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Delaware RN license or multi-state compact license
